Where to file

Twitch does not operate a separate in-product copyright webform. File through the published Twitch DMCA notice policy (https://www.twitch.tv/p/legal/dmca-notices/) — fill out the §512(c)(3) statement and send it to the Twitch designated agent at copyright-issues@twitch.tv, with the VOD / clip / channel URL on its own line. For non-copyright abuse (harassment, account impersonation that's not a deepfake), use the in-product channel report (https://www.twitch.tv/p/support/article/Reporting-a-User-or-Channel) instead — that's the trust & safety queue, not the copyright queue.

Evidence required

• Direct URL(s) to the infringing VOD, clip, or channel — for a clip use https://clips.twitch.tv/<id> or the https://www.twitch.tv/<channel>/clip/<id> share URL.
• Description of the original work and a link to your authorized copy (your own channel, official upload, or publisher source).
• Your contact details (full legal name, monitoring email, country of residence). Twitch's DMCA policy does NOT require a physical-address block, but for US §512(g) escalation add a mailing address anyway.
• A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, agent, or law.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act for the rights holder, with your physical or electronic signature.

Response window

Twitch does not publish a formal SLA on the DMCA notice page. Complete §512 notices are typically acknowledged within a few business days; full VOD / channel removal and repeat-offender enforcement typically resolves within 1–2 weeks under normal volume. Treat any unacknowledged notice after 10 business days as needing a re-send to copyright-issues@twitch.tv with the prior Subject header referenced.

Escalation paths

• Re-send the complete §512 notice to copyright-issues@twitch.tv referencing the prior Subject header and ticket — keep the email-receipt record so the second notice is timestamped.
• For specific clips/VODs on Twitch, use the in-product report (click the offending clip → ⋯ → Report) so the trust & safety team sees a parallel flag alongside the DMCA notice.
• For persistent inaction on a US-jurisdiction claim, route to Twitch's designated-agent record in the US Copyright Office public directory; that path is what §512(g) restoration rights run through.
• Twitch clamps biometric / face-voice comparison as evidence less reliably than timestamps / original VOD archive / chain-of-custody — for deepfake claims, anchor the notice on timestamps, original VOD archive, and ownership proof rather than a voiceprint comparison.

Step-by-step submission walkthrough

1. Step 1 — Capture the infringing VOD / clip URL and the channel header

   For a VOD rip use https://www.twitch.tv/videos/<id>; for a clip use https://clips.twitch.tv/<id> or https://www.twitch.tv/<channel>/clip/<id>. Screenshot the channel header (display name, username, follower count, About) and the top of the page so a Twitch reviewer can confirm the publication is public. If the clip / VOD may be deleted before review, mirror it through archive.today / Wayback now and attach the snapshot URL as a fallback link.

2. Step 2 — Open the Twitch DMCA-notices policy page (the official intake)

   The "official Twitch copyright report URL" is https://www.twitch.tv/p/legal/dmca-notices/ — that page (1) tells you the exact set of statements Twitch expects and (2) names the designated-agent inbox. Read it end to end before drafting the notice; Twitch rejects notices that paraphrase the §512 statements or omit any one of the required elements.

3. Step 3 — Fill the §512(c)(3) statement set

   In a single mail body, in this order: (A) signature line (your full legal name — typed is accepted), (B) identification of the copyrighted work — title + the URL of your authorized original + first-published date, (C) identification of the infringing material — the Twitch URL(s) on their own lines, (D) complainant contact block — name, email, country + (optional) mailing address, (E) good-faith belief statement — paste verbatim (see the copy-paste notice card), (F) perjury + accuracy statement — paste verbatim (see the copy-paste notice card).

4. Step 4 — Email the complete notice to copyright-issues@twitch.tv

   Send the mail body to copyright-issues@twitch.tv from the monitoring email you put in the (D) contact block — Twitch replies to that inbox. Subject header formatted as "DMCA Notice — <channel or username> — <work title>". Attach the archived snapshot URL(s) from Step 1 inline as plain text links — Twitch's intake does not accept large attachments, so do not paste image files into the email; link them instead.

5. Step 5 — File parallel in-product reports on the offending clip / channel

   In parallel with the email intake, file the in-product report on the offending clip (open the clip → ⋯ → Report → "Intellectual Property" → "Copyright") and on the channel (visit the channel → ⋯ → Report → "This person is pretending to be someone else" if it's an impersonation account). The in-product report and the email notice are processed in separate queues; filing both halves the time-to-removal.

6. Step 6 — Capture the email-receipt record and watch the review window

   Keep (a) the sent-mail timestamp, (b) the email-receipt ID from your mail client, and (c) any auto-reply from copyright-issues@twitch.tv. Twitch does not publish an SLA — a complete notice is typically acknowledged within a few business days with full removal + repeat-offender enforcement within 1–2 weeks under normal volume. Treat any unacknowledged notice after 10 business days as needing a re-send: reply to the same email chain referencing the prior Subject header and ticket, and re-attached the archived snapshot URLs from Step 1 in case the clip has since been deleted.
